#BUYBlack: Two Black Brothers Opening Pharmacy In Baton Rouge

Orlando and Kyle Palmer are brothers from Baton Rouge who recently moved home to open a pharmacy in the capital city. Orlando 40, the pharmacist and Kyle 32, an entrepreneur decided two years ago that they wanted to come home to start a business after spending the last 10 years in other cities. Both brothers are graduates of Scotlandville High School and grew up in the 70805 zip code. An area in Baton Rouge that is considered the most dangerous. Their story proves that something good can come out of north Baton Rouge. 

Orlando a graduate of Xavier University in New Orleans, lived in Atlanta for 10 years and worked retail pharmacy. Kyle a graduate of Rocky Mountain College lived in Montana and owned a successful marketing firm before the brothers recent business venture. Both married, Orlando has a 3 year old daughter “Parker” who is the name sake of the company and a 3 month old son Bryson. 

When asked their vision for the pharmacy, Orlando said, “Our vision is to totally change how we are conditioned to pharmacy service. The ultimate goal is to improve health outcomes in our community through awareness, education and convenience. We will become THE pharmacy of choice for all of Baton Rouge  with multiple locations coming soon.”
